San Francisco pizza bakers: Teese vegan mozzarella is now available on the cheese shelves of Rainbow Grocery. Or perhaps it has been available for a while now, but it took me this long to find it?
Teese is a new vegan cheese that was developed specifically to be melted: on pizza, in sandwiches, etc. The first time I used Teese was about a year ago when it was still in R&D, but already being offered in small quantities to be purchased on the web directly from the manufacturer, Chicago Soydairy.
I really liked it back then -- in fact, the pizza in the header image at the top of this page is one of my Teese test-pizzas. I haven't used Teese ever since my sample was gone, but now that it finally popped up in SF, I will resume my experiments and will surely post more about it in the future.
